ATA Announces Youth Scholarships for 2020

ATA Youth Scholarships 2020-2021

The ATA is soliciting applications for youth scholarships for the 2020-2021 academic year. These scholarships are available to high school graduate who will be enrolling in the college in the fall semester 2020. 

An online Application form is available at ATA Youth Scholarships. Only completed  applciation pacakged received by Aug 25th, 2020, will be considered. 

Eligibilty Requirements :

1. Open to high school seniors planning to enroll in college.
2. must be a member of the American Telugu Association (ATA).
3. The winner must consent to use of his / her picture and basic information on the winnerpage of the www.ataworld.org website.
4. WInners will be notified by e-email and posted on www.ataworld.org.

Selection Criteria : 

1. Demonstrates significant knowledge in Indian Arts, Learning Indian Art, classical dance, signing etc.
2. Exhibit leadership or talent in non -indian activities such as school clubs/competitions/sports.
3. Has an unweighted GPA over 3.0.
4. SAT or ACT Scores.
5. Extra Curricular activities and Community service.
6. Write a brief note of your vision of ATA for the comming six years and the next 12 years, How ATA could help the community, What arre the needs of the Community where ATA can play a significant role in improving / touching the lives of Telugu Community.
7. Indicate financial need.
