Press note for ATA Day and Women's Day in DC

American Telugu Association (ATA) Washington DC chapter has conductedInternational Women's Day and ATA DAY along with silver jubilee convention fundraiser event in KENA Center, FairFax, VA on Saturday Mar19 with pomp and grandeur. The event help raise over $250,000 for ATA Silver Jubilee Convention, 2016.

The event was organized by DC ATAteam and tens of volunteers, over 1000 people attended this event along with several ATA leaders from NJ, DE, NY, CT, GA, IL.The evening started with Women's day celebration. Soumya Kobdapalli, Joint Secretary, ATA welcomed the guests. Ms. LuAnn Bennet, Democratic Candidate for Congress and Ms.Pooja Reddy, founder of Helping Hands Humanity, a non profit organization spoke at the event. Students of local dance and music schools enthralled the audience with their performances.

Business Committee Chair and Fund-raising committee member Jayanth Challa welcomed the audience to ATA Roju and requested all to donate generously and encouraged the audience to pledge towards the convention and announced all the pledges.

Tollywood actress Ms.Regina Cassandra and Ms.Chandra Valleri, Social Secretary to the Indian Ambassador were special guests to the event.

Karun Asireddy, President-Elect, Chandra Sekhar Palvai, Convener, KK Reddy, Conference Director spoke and explained about the ATA accomplishments and convention high lights and invited all to attend the Chicago convention which is going to be held on July 1, 2, 3rd in Rosemont Convention Center, Chicago.

ATA Founder Hanmanth Reddy, Madhu Bommineni, Secretary, BOTs Parmesh Bheemreddy, Parsuram Pinnapreddy, Suresh Jilla, Vijay Kundur, Karun Asireddy President-elect, Raghuveer Reddy, Sharath Vemula, Krishna Dyapa, Sudhir Damidi Sports Chair, Narsimha Doma, Sreekanth Arutla actively participated and helped in the fund raising event.

Jayender Annam and Bhuvanesh Boojala thanked all the volunteers and media partnersincluding Eshwar banda TV9, Rajashekhar Baswaraju TV5/Mana TV, Sunil V6 TV, Srikanth NTV. Country Oven served delicious food and DJ by Raghu and Kranthi was excellent.
