International Women's day In Delaware

As March 8 marks the International Women’s Day, which celebrates the achievements of women in all spheres of life. On this occasion, the ATA (American Telugu Association) through its President Elect, Parmesh Bheemreddy, Regional Coordinators Thirumal Hanu Reddy and Prasanth Guduguntla, Women's Regional chair, Kavitha Thatikonda and America Bharathi Chair, Kiran Ala and with the event planning team including Afsa Shabir, Kiran Mudunuri, Lakshmi Manda, Pratibha Guduguntla, Radhika Reddy, Sailaja Sivva, Sandhya Banda, Sirisha Datla, Sridevi Chennuri, Srilakshmi Aluru, Srilakshmi Priya, Soujanya Kolipaka, Subhashini Reddy, Anil Sudamalla, Kishore Reddy, Panduranga Raju, Srinivas Reddy and Venu Kolipaka held an event At Hindu Temple, Hockessin, DE on 3/11/2017 joining women all over DE and PA region particularly from DE to commemorate this day. ATA firmly believes that the celebration of Women’s Day this year with the following words: “An woman is beautiful and tenacious. Over time, she remains the rock of the earth, and is thus worth celebrating.”
This Year's theme " Women should start supporting and building up each other ", could not have come at a better time. Event was witnessed with over 250 plus women and highlighted with multi talented young girls singing, energizing hosting by Kavitha Thatikonda and Laxmi Manda, Motivational speech with interactive sessions by Rohini Chitra, Sr.Director of Teva Pharmaceuticals, Instantaneous Fashion show by random participants from the audience, cultural performances, Quiz, Felicitation of selfless community volunteers, Delicious Multi cuisine food and DJ. Event's excitement and enthusiasm escalated as women shared their motivational personal life experiences with fellow women and on the dance floor every woman rocked to make the saying come true " We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once. ~ Friedrich Nietzsche "
