ATA Board Meeting

ATA Raises $250K in Atlanta

American Telugu Association (ATA) raised $250,000 from Telugu Community in Atlanta on Saturday, Feb 20, 2016 for its upcoming Convention to be held in Chicago from Jul 01-03 this year. ATA, the leading Telugu Organization in US is celebrating its Silver Jubilee this year. As part of bringing awareness in Telugu community about the upcoming convention, various events planned for the three days period with lots of fun and entertainment.

ATA Atlanta celebrated ATA Day at Skyland Business Center in Cumming, GA on Saturday where hundreds of Telugu families gathered. Under the leadership of Karunakar Asireddy, ATA Atlanta team planned for and executed a great event on the beautiful evening. Regional Coordinator Thirumal welcomed the guests;Anchors Vindhya andsinger Rahul Sipligunjfrom India and Srivalli Kondur from Atlanta entertained everyone with their melodious songs. Rahul started with a song on Ganesha followed by 'Dazzling Stars' (a medly of English, Telugu & Hindi Songs from movies S/o. Satyamurthy, Aa Raha Hu Mein & Justin Bieber's 'Sorry') group performance by Sri Dutt Raga Fine Arts choreographed by Akhil Turaga followed by 'ChittiyaKalaiayan' performance by Ritya. Dole Baaje performance by Orugallu Girls and a medley by Orugall Boys attracted the audience while solo dance by Zee TV Dance India Dance's Little master Akhil Turaga was highlight.

ATA Board Meeting

ATA conducts Community Service projects in India in the two Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana every other yearas 'ATA Vedukalu'. The same ATA Vedukalu were conducted in last December in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the districts of Adilabad, Warangal, Khammam, Mahaboob Nagar, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and these projects were show cased in nice Videos and Photos in ATA Day.

Anil Boddireddy, Regional Director, ATA President Sudhakar Perkari, Secretary Madhu Bommineni, Conference Director KK Reddy spoke at the event and highlighted the Convention and thanked all donors (who have pledged a whopping $250K for the convention). Community leaders from variousTelugu Organizations -Telugu Association of Metro Atlanta, Greater Atlanta Telangana Society, Indian Friends of Atlanta, Telugu Association of North America, Telangana American Telugu Association, North America Telugu Association, NRI Vasavi Association, Greater Atlanta Telugu Society & Telangana Development Forum attended and extended their support for the Convention. Anchor Syamala and Telugu movie artist Madhavi Latha visiting from India graced the occasion. Other ATA leaders from different States –Keetidahar from Jacksonville, FL, Ramakrishna Reddy Alla from Nashivlle, TN, Tirupati Reddy Yerramreddy from Lexington, KY and members from North Carolina, South Carolina, Tenesse, Florida and Alabama attended and made the event successful.
