ATA organizes Delaware valley cricket tournament

F(Delaware Valley) on Sep 10th and 11th. As part of this event ATA held cricket tournament and social gathering for Telugu people in the region. Delaware valley has some the largest Telugu community in the region. In this tournament 14 teams and around 300 people participated with great enthusiasm. There was an overwhelming response from youth and seniors alike. This is the first historic event held by ATA in Delaware –Philadelphia region.

A social gathering was held on Saturday evening at Courtyard by Marriott as part of this event; a large number of people from local community participated and expressed their happiness and enthusiasm to be part of that event. In particular, youth came forward to be part of the organization and serve Telugu community. The cricket tournament was conducted at Bonsall Park in Wilmington, DE. Fourteen teams played and Challengers team was evolved as the Champion. This event was attended by ATA leaders from Mid-Atlantic region including ATA president Dr Rajender Jinna, Secretary Rammohan Konda along with other board members Bhuvanesh Boojala, Rajesh Madireddy, Vinod Koduru, Sudhakar Perkari and ATA representatives from neighboring states. This event has been organized by regional coordinators Uday Kommireddy and Madhav Mosarla under the advisory of Parmesh Bheemreddy, ATA trustee from Delaware.

The trophies are presented to winners Challengers by ATA President Dr. Jinna, to runners Chase XI by local prominent heart surgeon Dr. Chandrashekar Reddy Beesam and token of appreciation presented to all the volunteers. Fields were coordinated by Prashant Guduguntla; Umpiring was coordinated by Kiran Ala, scores managed by Srinivas R Keshavarapu, schedules managed by Shreedhar Bolledula.
